A bedroom revisited and above all adapted makes me think of highlighting accentuated colors of blue passing through pink and neutrals of gray white and black because the effect of colors have for all of us essential effects on mood and emotions. Including flower motifs inspired by the great American architect Dorothy Draper, I like to fuse different shapes and sizes to create a classic style that brings dimension and harmony to the room. I like the mix and match of natural materials like rotins, inspired by the famous architect and designer Charlotte Perriand, and the warmth of a flower-printed wool rug with a light wood finish to warm the room.

Dressing the windows in soft curtains creates a drape that falls beautifully and elegantly across the room. Inspired by the room in director Sofia Coppola’s famous film Marie-Antoinette, the room’s acidic colors turn the codes of 18th-century design on their head.

A wooden kitchen in pastel colors that make me think of Ladurée macaroons, its round shapes giving the bed a very cosy and enveloping touch. The feeling of remaining hidden and protected is my philosophy.

In the second bedroom, the volume allowed me to create comfort and functionality to welcome friends or siblings for family weekends. The trick of a single bed concealing another makes circulation fluid and functional for fun. And a sofa that can be transformed into a day and night space makes a child’s bedroom even more functional.

To add a touch of elegance, black and gold pendant lights play the role of breaking codes and creating my own scenography for a cheerful, functional nursery that can be adapted to suit any situation.
